Lest we forget what it is to be a colonized country. Lest we forget what it means to be a nation. « Lest We Forget Angola » is a film about the Independence of Angola, proclaimed in 1975. Through interviews with people who were part of this historical process, the documentary tells the different points of view that pervade an event so important to the lives of Angolans and Portuguese. Directed by Brazilian Marcelo Luna and shot between Angola and Portugal, the film resorts to testimonials, archival footage and a contemporary Angola to discuss what it means to be independent.
