Miguel and Ruben are descendants of Cape Verdean immigrants. Both were born and live in Portugal but they have no legal papers. They are torn between their desire to be full Portuguese citizens and the obstacles they face every day. Proud of who they are, they keep dreaming of their future as they voice their yearning for a better life. Through their story, Li Ké Terra (« our home ») explores a fundamental question: what kind of identity does a stateless person have?
